" Until the later part of the 19th century, Maremma, an area of
Tuscany in Italy, was a mosquito infested marshland.
However,despite the inhospitableness and the danger of malaria,
the area also offered seasonal employment to the man of the poor
villages of the Appennine mountains and each winter they'd leave
their families to work here as labourers.... "Maremma", now
released as single by BEAUTIFUL PEA GREEN BOAT..."

BEAUTIFUL PEA GREEN BOAT hano adattato questo canto,
essenzialmente in forma vocale, e gli hanno dato
un'orchestrazione orignale, che dona colore all'altrimenti
semplice composizione. Sono inclusi altri due pezzi, una versione
di "maremma" con solo pianoforte e "Crazy" di Willie Nelson, una
conzone resa famoda da Ptasy Cline.

BEAUTIFUL PEA GREEN BOAT per questo disco sono IAN WILLIAMS e
CLIO PADOVANI. IL gruppo fu costituito in Edimburgo, ed in
diverse prestazioni ha rilasciato due LP e due singoli. Una
compilazione su CD dei due LP sara' pubblicata prossimamente
anche in USA. Il gruppo sta' attualmente lavorando con del nuovo
materiale, con un diveso solista, e si aspetta di fare pubbliche
apparizioni durante l'anno.
